Galls of Pontania proxima are widespread and common. The bean-shaped galls protrudes trough both the lower and upper side of the leaf. Usually they are dark shiny read in colour but became brownish black when they mature. Only one larva develops inside each gall but often a leaf is covered by several galls. |
