In contrast to other species of Euura, galls of the Euura amerinae-group are multilocular, thus several larvae can develop in one gall. In Central Europe Euura amerinae is the only species of this group. The walnut like galls develop on Salix pentandra, other host plant records (Populus) are unlikely. Euura amerinae occurs in Central and North Europe. |
